A fantastic base for Cornish exploration

Ponsanooth is a traditional Cornish village with a very particular heritage. It is home to the Stag Hunt Inn, has it’s own award winning village shop and has it’s own thriving and vibrant village feel. The village also boasts several breweries including Dynamite Valley (which is “cooler than a polar bear’s toenails”) and Treens .  Ponsanooth is also home to Lyhner Dairies – a world renowned cheese maker. 

On top of all that, Ponsanooth is also home to the Kennel Vale Nature Reserve – described as a “hidden gem” on Tripadvisor. The Vale will not disappoint – it is a fabulous unspoilt woodland run by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust with ruined gunpowder workings and is just 10 minute’s walk from your cottage door. 

Ponsanooth’s real advantage is that it is a little tucked away from the main tourist hotspots so you can enjoy our peaceful village  – but is also within easy reach of all of Cornwalls’ attractions too. Perfect!
